lucky girl

It's been kind of an awesome week. I started my new job at Pazzles and I love it! Pazzles is a scrapbooking company (that's right-I said scrapbooking company) and I am being paid to do what I love. I am the Craft Editor which means I will be designing cut files for their electronic die cut machine, and I will be making projects and supervising a design team -and probably some other stuff I don't know about yet. It's pretty much a dream job! And I'm able to leave a little early and be home when my kids get home. So this week has been a bit of an adjustment. I forgot that working full time means you can't do the laundry and clean the house during the day-but we'll adjust.
I was still on a high from landing my dream job when I got an email from Paper Crafts Magazine requesting one of my cards. For those of you who don't know-this is THE hardest magazine to be published in. I'm thrilled and a little shocked! Pinch me someone-I'm dreaming.

I know it sounds a bit like I'm tooting my own horn, but really I cannot tell you how much this all means to me. For the past 6 years I've been mothering full time and working part time from home. I've been papercrafting in my free time and wishing and dreaming that I could somehow turn my passion into something more.  Both kids are in school all day now, so it was time to do something about it.  And it happened! I'm feeling like the luckiest girl in the world right now!

As part of my new job, I have to give up my current teaching positions, so I will no longer be working for Paper Cottage or Scrapbook Heaven. But get ready to see lots of cool new projects created with the amazing Pazzles Inspiration!
