Summer Sundress

This little sundress was a Saturday night project and was amazingly easy. It was my first attempt at shirring and my second attempt at using knit. What a difference a new sewing machine makes. The last attemp was a disaster! I used the Sundress pattern from Heather Ross's book Weekend Sewing. She has a free womens version of this pattern posted on her blog here. I love how it turned out. This fabric was on the clearance shelf and I paid about $1.75 for a yard of it. It was perfect shirring fabric because the print already had lines on it!
