{Yay for my computer fixin hubby-I love free tech support! I'm finally able to upload photos again!}
Saturday was Anna's baptism day. (In our church children are baptised when they turn 8) She has been so excited for this day for at least a year. I wanted to make her a white dress to wear after her baptism and I wanted it to be special. This sweet poem came to mind. As soon as I saw the baptism dress posted on Brown Paper Packages I knew I wanted to give it a try. It was way over my sewing level, but I managed to get it done. I changed out the top and used McCall's 5966 for the top-since I liked the overlap look. I stitched pearls to the neckline and made a sash to go with it.
It was a beautiful dress for a beautiful girl on a perfect day! Thanks to everyone who came and made it a special day.
Oh my! You are amazing! Sewing, scrapping, cards! I wish we were closer so you could rub off on my a little more! Wanna make me one? Got 9 months to make it?
Wow Michelle...this is just exquisite!! I used to do a lot of sewing, so I know how much time went into this. Love all the details! I'm sure your daughter looked like a dream in this!
