take down layout with a twine border

One of my favorite family traditions is getting together with my family for Sunday afternoon dinners. We each bring a part of the meal so that no one person has to do it all (although my mom usually does more than her share). We only do it about once a month, but it is so nice to take a break from the craziness of life and get together to sit on my parents back porch.  We share stories and laugh together and the kids have all kinds of adventures with each other. Sometimes those adventures involve playing in the teepee I loved as a child, or reading the books in grandmas library to each other. Sometimes those adventures include throwing darts at grandmas closet door and making a million tiny holes, but I digress. It's about being together and making memories.
I found these pictures in my photo stack from a few summers ago and loved to see these cousins having fun together.

I did a couple of fun things on this page. I used twine all around the edge of the page as a border. I just ran a thin line of liquid glue along the edge and then placed the twine in it. I also made my own journaling pocket by folding a piece of vellum in half and stitching around the edges. The card is simply cut from a larger journaling card.
