hug snug & a giveaway

Did you notice the cool oatmeal colored seam tape on yesterday's layout?
Let me share something with you that I love and you can win your own at the bottom of this post! I first heard about Hug Snug from a Heidi Swapp video tutorial. Hug Snug is seam tape that comes on a giant roll of 100 yards for less than $10. I bought mine from zipperstop here.

Let me show you why I love it! With mist or ink you can totally customize the look. I started out with "oatmeal" tape. I spritzed it with some glimmerz spritz in Bamboo. I used the spritz heavily so I achieved a nice solid color.

After it was dry it was the exact color I needed to match my project.

Changing the way you spritz can give you beautiful differences. For the next card I bunched my ribbon up instead of laying it out flat and I got a soft watercolor effect to my ribbon with some parts colored and some parts white. I used Mister Huey {Boss Lady} spritz.

I'm thinking my next attempt may be an ombre effect, or 2 colors together.
Want to win? Leave me a comment on this blog post and I'll pick 1 lucky winner to win their very own roll. Become a follower of my blog or let me know you are a current follower for an extra entry! Giveaway closes 8/24/12 at midnight. US only please.
Zipperstop has a new ribbon site with fabulous prices for
giant rolls of ribbon. I'm thinking some of the other ribbons in the "Earth Friendly" category may be perfect for dyeing with spritz as well.
