We headed off to the Oregon Coast at the end of June to rent a beach house with my family. It was seriously like heaven. We were right on the ocean and could hear the waves all night. The beds were soo comfortable and there was even a hot-tub on the deck overlooking the ocean.
We spent the days doing something fun: Oregon Coast Aquarium, Outlet Mall, Newport Mo's & candy store, then in the afternoon we played on the beach. The water was cold, but the kids didn't even notice.
We had such a blast spending so much time with my brother & his family and my parents. The kids had so much fun watching Monster House over & over again with Myles & Laney. Dylan loved to throw rocks in the ocean and Anna liked the exploring part. One day they even found 3 starfish. I celebrated my 31st (yikes) birthday there.We also had a bonfire on the beach one night and made smores. Dylan went through the motions, but really just wanted the chocolate.
The morning of the 4th we went to Vancouver,WA. That night we sat in a park overlooking the Columbia river and watched "the biggest freworks display west of the Mississippi". It was awesome-I love fireworks!
After all this adventure we continued on to Mike's parents house. Mike helped his dad do some yard work. Dylan was in heaven as they moved dirt and rocks around.
We went to the Portland Zoo, rode the zoo train, & went to this little water park. Such a fun vacation.

Love the scrapbook page, can't wait to check out what else you do. The kids look so cute in festive red and white outfits for the 4th and Jack also loves the chocolate in the smores! We'll have to do the park again soon, that was fun!
